A few words on developing a more positive body image
Developing a more positive body image takes time. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. It’s important work that we do day-by-day, in tiny increments.
This is the work we do that shapes how we think and the actions we take. I find I dip in and out of positive image thinking. Like most things.
Life isn’t linear. There’s no final destination where I feel ‘I’ve got it all together now’. Nope.
There are only opportunities to strengthen your awareness, test and try what works for you, and keep restarting.
What helps, for me, are tools like meditation, and, of course, journaling. I do both (usually one right after the other. Or I bookend my meditation with journaling) every day. You don’t have to do these every day. Find what works best for you. Start small. Take tiny steps.
Eventually, they lead to big changes. They always do.
